Delight in Preaching God's Word Always- Isaiah 6:9 -13

"Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."  (Isaiah 6:10). Polycarp, who lived in the first generation after the apostles, was born in Smyrna and later became the bishop of the city. He was the last survivor of those who had talked with the eyewitnesses of Jesus. As a very old man, he was arrested, tried and condemned. When asked to renounce his faith in Christ, he replied, "Eighty-six years have I served him and he hath done me no wrong. How can I speak evil of my King who saved me? He was set ablaze. But the flames refused to consume him, he was killed with the sword and then burned. Isaiah was commissioned to a spiritually insensitive people, a people who were dull of hearing. They were dull of hearing because they had no interest in hearing the word of God preached. Thus, the prophet voiced his frustration because of the fut...

IN UNPLEASANT MOMENTS, GLORIFY GOD WITH THANKSGIVING - Jn.11:4

Remember first that, we thank God IN the situation, not FOR the situation.

Jesus teaches us the how...

Do you remember Mary, who poured the costly perfume on Jesus' feet and wiped them with her hair? Well, her brother, who lived in Bethany with Mary and her sister Martha, was sick. Message was sent to Jesus. Let's look at what Jesus said on hearing the news:

Jn.11:4 | LIVING BIBLE

"But when Jesus heard about it he said, "The purpose of his illness is not death, but for the glory of God. I, the Son of God, will receive glory from this situation."

Remember, Lazarus was a good friend of Jesus. Even though the enemy brought it, GOD ALLOWED IT for the glory of Himself. We do not even see Jesus speaking of the devil here. Jesus attitude was, *"God ALLOWED this for the glory of Himself. This situation is not unto destruction but to bring glory to Me."

I believe this is something all of us must learn. When we encounter failure, we should learn to say, " Father, I thank for ALLOWING me to GO THROUGH this failure. I know this is not unto destruction, but to reveal the glory of Your Son in me." Whenever there is an attack, that is the good time to say, "Father, I thank You for ALLOWING me to GO THROUGH this attack. I know this is unto glory, not unto destruction. "

Do you also remember the man born blind? Some believers, whenever they encounter negative circumstances they think it is because of their sins, the sins of their parents, and even their forefathers. Jesus has some few words to tell you about this!

Jn.9:2:3| NLT
2 “Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
3 “It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him."

Jesus' attitude was, " God allowed it to reveal His power in him." For this course, I say that that unpleasant situation in which you are is not unto destruction but unto glory. Humbly thank God, "Father I thank You for ALLOWING me PASS THROUGH this unpleasant moment. I know this is to reveal the glory of Your Son in me."

Friend, keep the attitude of thanksgiving. Give no place to the devil. Don't chase him. Leave him alone. Do the warfare with an attitude of thanksgivings and reign.

 GOD BLESS YOU!
