Delight in Preaching God's Word Always- Isaiah 6:9 -13

"Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."  (Isaiah 6:10). Polycarp, who lived in the first generation after the apostles, was born in Smyrna and later became the bishop of the city. He was the last survivor of those who had talked with the eyewitnesses of Jesus. As a very old man, he was arrested, tried and condemned. When asked to renounce his faith in Christ, he replied, "Eighty-six years have I served him and he hath done me no wrong. How can I speak evil of my King who saved me? He was set ablaze. But the flames refused to consume him, he was killed with the sword and then burned. Isaiah was commissioned to a spiritually insensitive people, a people who were dull of hearing. Building Faith in the New Year

“But what sayeth thee? The word is near thee in thy mouth and even in thy heart, that is, the word of faith which we preach.” -  Romans 10:8 (KJV)

In the New Testament, we preach the word of faith. What is this word of faith? “Word” there is from the Greek word “Rhema” which implies the revelation of faith. The reason why we preach and teach the revelation of faith is because faith is the access to the new covenant. In the Old Testament, the law was the access, in the New Testament, faith is the access. Faith here is faith in the finished works on Calvary.

The statement Jesus made on Calvary “it is finished” implied that at that moment, what He had to do on the earth as part of the work of redemption was finished. It is our faith in what Christ has done that causes us to see the manifestation of His grace in our lives. Faith activates the power and promises of God. For instance, it is your faith that activates God’s hedge of protection round you. Fear breaks down the hedge and opens the door to the enemy. If you want to bring strong faith that will bring great results into your life, what you need to do is to get revelation by meditating on the Word. Get into the Word this year and watch you faith soar. You will achieve extraordinary results in Jesus name.

Stay Blessed.
