Delight in Preaching God's Word Always- Isaiah 6:9 -13

"Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."  (Isaiah 6:10). Polycarp, who lived in the first generation after the apostles, was born in Smyrna and later became the bishop of the city. He was the last survivor of those who had talked with the eyewitnesses of Jesus. As a very old man, he was arrested, tried and condemned. When asked to renounce his faith in Christ, he replied, "Eighty-six years have I served him and he hath done me no wrong. How can I speak evil of my King who saved me? He was set ablaze. But the flames refused to consume him, he was killed with the sword and then burned. Isaiah was commissioned to a spiritually insensitive people, a people who were dull of hearing. They were dull of hearing because they had no interest in hearing the word of God preached. Thus, the prophet voiced his frustration because of the fut

Anointing Makes the Difference

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
- Acts 10:38 (KJV)
The anointing is the difference maker. David was just a young shepherd boy tending sheep when the anointing of the Holy Spirit came upon His life. God sent Samuel to Jesse his father to anoint a king among Jesse’s sons. Despite his great future, David was no one to be reckoned with in the family to the point that when his father was told to bring out his sons, he was not remembered.

The moment the anointing came upon David, there was trouble in Israel. A series of events which began with Goliath's defeat resulted in David becoming king over Judah and eventually over Israel. Once a person is anointed, heaven begins to shake things up for the person. The anointing will attract things from the realm of the spirit to the realm of the natural that will be equivalent to the anointing and the grace that the person carries.

The anointing is not the exclusive reserve of pastors; every Christian needs to be anointed. We all need the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon our lives. You need the anointing to take you through life’s daily pursuits. When the Spirit of God came upon Daniel and Joseph, it was to take care of national problems. The anointing upon Saul was to lead a whole a nation. Cultivate a yearning for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Value the grace of God and the substance of His presence in your life.

The grace of God is multidimensional in its manifestation and multifarious in its expression. Grace finds expression in all dimensions of human existence, in all professions and vocations in this world.

There is absolutely no worthy vocation that is beyond the manifestation of the grace of God. May you find yourself in the right place, doing things supernaturally and getting the harvest that is due to you in Jesus name.

Stay Blessed.
